Sponsored by the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce, this forum is open to the public. Questions may be submitted in advance. Each candidate will make a 7-minute presentation from 7 to 8 p.m.
Participants will include rival candidates seeking elected offices on various levels of government, starting with the highly contested governor’s race. Candidates for U.S. senator, U.S. Congress, state Senate District 16, state House District 25 and county commissioner also will attend.
Chamber president Melanie Nuchols will make the welcoming remarks. Doug Bell, editor of the Canyon Courier, is the forum moderator. Russ Campbell is organizing the event.
“The forum is not a debate,” Nuchols said. “It's a platform for candidates to synthesize their core values and major positions for a discriminating audience and the media.”
No questions will be taken from the floor, although the audience may submit written questions during the forum.
Prior to the event, questions may be e-mailed to the chamber at
