Broken down by state (Colorado), THE GOVERNMENTS OWN FIGURES!!!
They keep telling us our budget is 20 something Billion, to make it SOUND like 60,61 & 101 are going to cause Armageddon!
Our REAL state & local expenditures (what YOU paid) '09 US CENSUS figures 44.7 BILLION!
Our REAL state & local deficit debt (what YOU OWED) '09 CENSUS figures 52.6 BILLION!
They tell you it's 20 something to MISLEAD you into believing that 60,61 &101 are a much LARGER percent cut of what you already pay!!!
The TRUTH of the matter is that at most, even using their bloated figures, that they will only have to CUT 10%!... ACTUALLY MUCH LESS...
I've had to cut MORE than 10% of MY spending...WHY CAN'T YOUR GOVERNMENT!!!
President Reagan in his first year as President MADE all his Departments cut their budgets 10%...
You know what???NO Armageddon!!
It worked so well that first year, you know what???
He cut the FOLLOWING years budget ANOTHER 10%!!! NO ARMAGEDDON!! IMAGINE THAT!!!
Besides even IF they can justify a NEED for MORE tax dollars or a loan, then they can ASK the taxpayers!!! THEY can GET IT!!! IF WE WANT IT!!! NO ARMAGEDDON!!!
They don't want to HAVE to ask to spend money, hence the 52.6 BILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT!!!
Come on---- COLORADO WAKE UP!!! THESE INITIATIVES MUST PASS!!!

The Jefferson county school district has a budget this year of 999 million dollars. That's right - one billion dollars!

The district's total appropriated budget for fiscal year 2010 is $999,062,000!

The Jefferson county school district has 84,000 students.

Lets do a little simple math here folks - that comes out to $11,893.59 for each and every student - per year.

That's more than many colleges charge for an education, somthing is wrong here folks - they have tons of money. They should be able to teach our kids for half that amount! When I graduated from Evergreen High School, they had only 25% of the money they have today.

The budget for the schools is on auto-pilot - growing at about 8% per year. How many homeowners can keep up with this massive growth? How many seniors on a fixed income are already struggling, many have lost most of their investments and can NOT absorb these increases year after year.

How many working folks can't either because their jobs were lost, hours cut back etc.?

Our government wants to keep on growing - la la la - when the community is struggling. They do not care about us, just watch that video! Then they threaten us with cuts to services. These measures would set them back a few percent- back a year or two in their budgets.

Here's what state spending looks like in Colorado.

Does this reflect the income you or your neighbors bring in? Do you get raises like this? Our government must do it's share and cut back a little - just as we have had to do as taxpayers.

Lets vote for these tax cuts - help ourselves and our neighbors keep our community one that we can afford to live in.

No, actually, you can't be sure if it's "the government's own figures."

:yeahthat: And please don't forget to read all the material in the ballot information book, this is to be trickled down over a period of years, not "BOOM" all in 2011. Gradual reduction. The government needs to have their purse strings tightened, just like the majority of us have to do year after year; difference is not everyone gets a cost of living increase or a pay raise every year with their job to accommodate for inflation...but businesses and governments keep making their money.
