"God gives every bird its food but does not throw the food in its nest. God also gives each bird the material to make its nest but does build it for the bird; the bird has to do its part. Of course, if a bird is unable to fly, we should take care of him. But there are many who could fly but don’t or won’t. These need a nudge out of the nest, not just a cozy place in it. They might fall, but it’s the only way they’ll ever get to soar to new heights."

Agreed. Just like the original post said. For those who need it, (the least of my people). Not for those who are lazy and don't want to work and would rather stay home playing video games and collect free handouts from the government. Big difference.
Proverbs 12:24 (New International Version)
24 Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.
"Work hard and become a leader; be lazy and become a slave."
Proverbs 12:24 (NLT)
Proverbs 26:15
The sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.
"Those too lazy to plow in the right season will have no food at the harvest."
Proverbs 20:4 (NLT)
(Proverbs 13:4) “The soul of the lazy man desires and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.”
