In the event that she was not taken as a wife she was to be released from the contract. Unfortunately modern day Christian denominations rewrote the passage and that is what you would find upon a search. Imagine that you had a daughter who was obese or just ugly, kind of like her father :thumbsup: rofllol , and the only way you could get her married off was through this method. You might have found it to be a convenience back in biblical times.
