Now, you could follow that link and go through EVCO and ultimately be paying more money in the not so distant near future, OR you COULD go direct through QWEST, which is what I just did and a number of my clients, AND PAY LESS.

Ask them about the "all inclusive" business line AND DSL package for $85.

Not sure EVCO can touch that other than perhaps a "3-month" intro rate.

Something I considered when I made my smart business decision:

For $85, I received DSL internet AND a Business line.

I learned that what made sense for MY business needs was incorporating the business line and the DSL internet.

Now, ones does NOT have to subscribe to a business line and yes, you would pay $10 more ($70 Qwest) than EVHS ($60 VHS), but that is only if you are purchasing "DSL standalone."

The smart money is on the Qwest "CoreConnect" package.

We started using WhisperTel when we first moved to Bailey, then it changed to SkyBeam. We have rarely had any issues with Skybeam and it is still working great (in 8 years, probably out a total of 6 times, due to weather). Yes we had to pay for the equipment when we first started with WhisperTel (and of course now we own it, LOL) and only pay $33.90 per month for high speed DSL connection. Unless there is some very compelling reason to change, I think I'll stick with SkyBeam until I hear they won't be servicing here anymore. Our entire family is wireless so we can each be anywhere in the house and be online...works for us.

My 2 cents being a lousy computer person is that EVCOHS is worth the few bucks more but maybe not for everyone.

If you had Qwest today...and lived in my neighborhood....you got to have a conversation with several people in the Philippines who told you that your modem very bad and qwest ok.
Then if you took a drive and ran into a qwest employee with a truck,,,, you got to hear him ask if you know where all the DSL boxes are and that the problem is a power outage that you just failed to notice.
That is what you got for your money today in parts of Bailey with Qwest.
Pay the extra money.
