Don't Forget to Clear the Bench with your Ballot!

and while voting no don't forget to vote no on district court judge groome. his behavior has been inappropriate as a judge, not surprising since he was like tht as an attorney and as the court of appeals recently pointed out he doesn't know squat about civil procedure and repeatedly violated wagner's rights. lets not allow him to sit on the bench and then collect a pension later. time to get rid of him too.

With no shortage of qualified people for positions as Judges, I can't understand why the voters tend to vote to "retain" judges at all.

There is no reason why Judges and politicians should be allowed to stay in these positions for 20, 25, 30 years and make an entire career out of those positions of power.

Judges get a big head and ego about them - and forget who they are working for just like corrupt politicians. They get retained election cycle after cycle. I have been voting "do not retain" for many years now. I am only aware of one Judge that has not been retained in the last 10 years in Colorado.

As with politicians - the founding fathers never envisioned life long careers for these positions, except for the supreme court. They expected a short term of public service, and a return to the private sector after service.

We have seen what happens when Judges are in power for too long here, with judgments against the will of the people. Several constitutional amendments voted on by the citizens of Colorado have been blocked and overruled by Judges - the recent mill levy freeze initiated by Ritter and upheld by judges is a perfect example of the corrupt court using it's powers against the citizens.

Vote um out! Instead of waiting for an unusually bad one to vote out - wait for an unusually good one to retain.

I vote "do not retain" unless I know for certain that one is worth retaining.

When you clear out the incumbents, might as well get the judges too. Downside? Hickenlooper could find even more liberal judges & justices to replace them.

Don't be stupid and fall for slogans. Read about each judge. Decide for yourself what's important, and if the judge is doing what you want.

"voting them all out" is just as stupid as voting for someone because of their party affiliation.

Use the brains God gave you and decide for yourself rather than letting some marketing slogan run your life and your government.

There are some very good judges on the bench. Don't throw out the baby with the bath water.

name one good judge. if you look at their performance evals there are plenty who found them to be pitiful. go beyond reading the blue book on the judges and look at their performance ratings. then vote no.

As I stated in my post - there have been so many utterly bad rulings from the Colorado district and supreme courts in recent years (including many in direct opposition to the will of the voters) that I feel a better option than what has been the standard "vote to retain" is to just vote against them all unless you can name a good judge.

When you look at the distain coming from the bench - and their attitude towards the citizens of this state - it is indeed a better choice to "vote them all out" - if for no other reason than to get new people in those positions and cut short a life long career as a ego filled pompous headed Judge.

Yea - name me a good one.

I say throw out the baby with the bath water. Lets start new.

Nothing worse than a Judge who overrules a vote of the people. Your paying more in property taxes this year because one Judge thought Colorado needs your money more than you do!
