I heard an ad couple days ago and finally had the chance to look it up:

THE LIBERALS' SECRET PLAN TO RAISE TAXES “…amidst the cryptic meeting notes and mundane policy papers found at http://www.coloradoreformroundtable.com is the obvious beginnings of the latest plan by Colorado’s network of liberal advocacy groups to raise taxes on Colorado’s businesses and families—a secret plan by liberals to raise taxes again."
“It is a revenue-raising proposal so aggressive and so expensive that it would transform Colorado from a low-tax, limited government state to a proverbial eastern outpost of California….”
“…a secret plan to raise taxes, again….”
Very interesting read, but what’s amazing is that this group has already filed for the ballot measures for 2012.
Looking down the road: Tax measures proposed for 2012 ballot
Two tax ballot measures for the 2012, yes 2012, ballot were filed today, including a provision that eliminates the hated business personal property tax.
The measures – known as proposal 7 and proposal 8 – also call for reducing the state sales tax but taxing services as well as goods, changing the income-tax system to a graduated system and making a tax credit for low-income workers permanent.
Kind of like the bi-annual proposals to create a Conifer Park & Recreation District every two years--that keeps getting voted down... ("Trust us!! We're only electing officers...We're not doing anything that will cost you any money or mil-levy raises!")
