You awaken one morning to discover that many foreigners who do not speak your language have sneaked into your house and made themselves at home. You do not know them. You did not invite them. They are in your home illegally.
You next discover that your refrigerator and pantry have been raided and much of your food has been eaten by the trespassers. The checkbook you left on the kitchen counter is open and several checks are missing. A major headache is setting in so you go to your medicine cabinet only to find that many of your expensive medicines and supplies have been depleted by the home invaders.
You are astonished that they simply go about their lives around you as if they belonged in your home. You try to question them, but they don’t speak English and show no interest in learning.
Increasingly alarmed, you run to your children’s rooms and to your horror, many of the illegal’s children have taken up residency there. They have even tacked up their country’s flag on your kids’ wall; and several other walls are now covered with graffiti.
Finally, you pick up the phone and call the sheriff. He scoffs and tells you to settle down…there’s nothing he can do because he can’t ask the invaders for papers to prove they don’t live in your house legally. You next call your congresswoman and after her fits of laughter subside, she calmly suggests that you put them to work doing chores that you don’t usually like to do.
You hang up the phone and turn around to see that two of the female trespassers have just given birth in your living room. Congratulations! You are a new parent all over again because, legally, the babies are now citizens of your house and if they can’t support themselves, you must pay for all their needs. Oh, and you must also allow all of their siblings and other family members to stay too…separating them would be inhumane.
A little part of you begins to wish you would have woken up during the night and legally shot them all when they crossed your threshold.
The illegal alien issue sounds a bit more personal when placed in the context of your own home, doesn’t it?
With this bad economy and the grass roots of both the Dems & Repub party wanting the illegals out, we would see more done about this problem. Instead, the Washington elites are demanding that states can't enforce their own laws and unions are sponsoring pro-illegal alien events. I wonder how those blue collar workers feel knowing their dues are going to protect people undercutting their wages and to elect people who want to grant them amnesty.
