Poll: More Americans want an Ariz.-style immigration law in their states

A new survey out today says more American voters want an immigration law in their own state that's similar to the controversial one adopted by Arizona.

The non-partisan Quinnipiac University Poll shows American voters say by 48%-35% that they want an immigration law like the one in Arizona, which requires law enforcement officials to ask someone's legal status if there is "reasonable suspicion" to believe the person is in the USA illegally.

Most Americans don't get this law. Majority rules but minority rights! Tread lightly, unintended consequences will rule. Every immigration law in this country has been a failure. Harder is not better ( if you know what I mean)

We agree, Wayne, see it's possible.
I don't understand what folks don't get about the word "illegal".

This photo was taken at a protest on 5/1/10 in Phoenix!

Arizonans are OUTRAGED by this photo, taken the next day after a Pinal County Sheriff's Deputy was shot by Mexican Drug Runners with an AK-47 .
