Hick? Insult or nickname? was created by FredHayek
I have been using "Hick" as a sub for Hickenlooper. Would you consider this an insult? I know at my workplace, my name is shortened as an endearment. My brother liked his shortened name so much it is his vanity license plate.

So do you consider Hick for Hickenlooper or Fitzie for Fitzgerald to be insults?

I can't imagine Hick thinks that is an insult. If I had his name I would love the Hick nic.

I think Gov elect Hickenpooper is more PC. Actually I like the guy, a self made business man that started a brew pub in Denver. Can't be all bad.

The only insult is when the righties change part of his name into something demeaning, but they marginalize everyone they don't like.
