The Chinese are becoming uncomfortably assertive

I am just back from China. The United States -- the world -- does indeed have a problem there. Power is going to the heads of many in the Communist Party, and they are thinking most expansively -- like nothing we have seen for a long time.

Does China's leadership really propose to replace a Western imperial order with its own "celestial" one?

Could be. I sense that part of China's leadership is coming down with "greatpoweritis."

...exactly why I eat Chinese twice per per month. I was once a steak and potatoes guy; but, eating Texas beef and Idaho potatoes isn't cool anymore.

I lay a lot of the blame for them asserting themselves as they are doing, on the feet of our Administration running this country, doing what they want to do, irregardless of the will of the people of this country and those leaders of the other countries that are being affected by the choices made.

China has warned Obama previously. China has a lot at stake holding all the debt they do and they don't have to agree to let Obama devaluate their interest by arbitrarily printng money

Then I guess Walmart will be going out of biz, since about 90% of their general merchandise comes from there.

It ain't just the government that's giving that country power, we are too.

so it makes me wonder how much u.s. land, mineral and water rights they already own. and when our paper isn't worth anything, like now, if they will call it all due and payable in the form of more land, mineral, water rights and gold.
