MSNBC TV host contributed to eight [Republican] candidates in apparent violation of NBC ethics policy

NEW YORK — MSNBC TV host Joe Scarborough was suspended without pay for two days Friday for making eight campaign donations to Florida [Republican] political candidates, apparently in violation of NBC News ethics policy.

Scarborough, a former Republican member of Congress from Florida and host of the cable network's "Morning Joe" program, said he agreed with the decision by MSNBC President Phil Griffin, which was similar to the sanction Griffin imposed two weeks ago on another host on the network, Keith Olbermann. The suspension was first reported Friday by Politico.com.

When Olbermann, host of "Countdown with Keith Olbermann," was suspended Nov. 5 for making donations to three Democratic congressional candidates, Scarborough acknowledged that two political contributions had been made in his name, but he said they had been made by his wife.

Griffin said in a statement that Scarborough informed him Friday that he had in fact made eight contributions from 2004 to 2008 to local [Republican] candidates in Florida that he did not recall.

Apparently, MSNBC doesn't play favorites...They're busting the chops of the conservative as well as the liberal... Good. It's a concept totally lost on the morons at FauxNews. But as Bill Mahr said, "Don't ever equate the two...MSNBC reports NEWS, and Fox is one step above playing with their poop."

Joe would be considered moderate left by the TEA PArty.

Only fecal consumer would quote a piece of crap like mahr. and only fecal consumer with pink hair would excited about it.

I think everyone should be able to contribute to whoever they wish. Employers should not prevent employees from doing so, even people in the media. Just publish who they contribute to and then we will understand their political slant.

Well, isn't it nice that the employers are free do as they wish as a condition of employment, and aren't subject to listening to people outside their company, like you. Perhaps MSNBC is more interested in keeping their broadcasters' appearance of non-partisanship than the clowns at FauxNews who make no bones about sponsoring events and being totally 100% partisan... That's why FauxNews is not news...It's the P.R. wing of the TeaParty & GOP.

What a joke! Everyone has a political slant, all the MSM tries to do is hide theirs when it's plainly obvious that most are and support liberals. They are not fooling anyone with stupid policies like this.

Shall I publish the list of Democrat supporters of CBS ABC CNN? It far exceeds any amounts given to the GOP. I guess with Looney Jerk's logic CBS ABC and CNN are PR wings of the Social Liberals and the Jackass Party.
