Sharpton Wants FCC to Ban Limbaugh

Article Font Size

Liberal firebrand Rev. Al Sharpton is telling audiences that the Federal Communications Commission should take Rush Limbaugh off the airwaves because of perceived offenses toward racial minorities and other groups.

The attack was only the latest in a series of attacks by Democrats, including President Obama, who suggest that America's political discourse is being crippled by talk radio and cable news shows.

Of course, just to be perfectly clear, Sharpton speaks for all liberals just as much as Fred Phelps speaks for all conservatives.

Your buddy, Phelps, cannot speak for conservatives because he is a Democrat and has run for governor of Kansas in 1990, 1994, and 1998. In the 1992 Democratic Party primary for U.S. Senate. Phelps ran for mayor of Topeka in 1993 and 1997.
So, now you have Sharpton and Phelps both speaking for the liberals.
Scruffy, you liberals are a screwed up bunch of fellers.

It's only a problem if you think guilt by association is valid reasoning, or believe that over-generalizing a population yields useful facts.

Of course, precisely such reasoning abounds in political discourse. Just goes to show the vast difference in meaning between 'political' and 'logical' is well-grounded in reality.

Let's see, how can I respond? Oh, yeah, "He's a DINO! Democrat In Name Only." He holds so many core conservative values that I just assumed he was a Republican. My bad.

Let me revise to say "Sharpton speaks for all liberals just as much as Tom Delay speaks for all conservatives." Better?

Liberals are great at making excuses for their mistakes instead of owning up to them.

Conservatives are great for pulling statements with no facts out of their ass.

(I guess that statement makes me a conservative  )
