Pardon me, but that really doesn't apply to the OP. Yes, the U.S. has done bad things in its past, and most will agree that our policy towards the indigenous population of this country was not the best.

I am sorry to see so many on this forum vote for the fourth option only because things may escalate beyond our control with this madman and his son. I personally have always felt that the best defense is a good offense, but that is my opinion.

Defense? Does this idiot dictator have the ability to attack us? I am unsure why we are even considering attacking North Korea other than we are allies of South Korea. If we pre-emptively attack, or even respond to an attack on South Korea, then we could very easily be going to war with China. And then where would we get our tv's from?

Scruffy:

I will answer your two dumb questions:

1) Are you willing to wait to see if he has the ability to attack us?

2) We used to make TVs here in the U.S.A. under many names, do I have to list them for you? Why couldn't we do that again?

Oh, I know the answer to that one. Your Liberal Government policies are to destroy this country and all industries in it, including the Banking Industry with this new Financial overhaul Bill, they have already made the inroads to destroy our healthcare system. The coal industry, now working on destroying our Airline industry and soon to do that to our Rail and other Public Transportation systems. What is next. Stay tuned to your favorite news station!!

In the shape of a mushroom cloud? I seriously doubt that Kim Jong Dingbat has the capability to attack us, but I am willing to allow our intelligence operations to keep an eye on him. Do we have to attack them because he might one day have the capability to send a missile our way? Where have we heard that form of argument before?

My question was a tongue-in-cheek joke. I would love it if we could bring back our manufacturing base.

Liberal policies intend to destroy this country? Really. Thankfully, that's just your opinion.

This discussion is now moot. We are currently off the Korean penninsula, playing war games with S. Korea as a show of force to "warn" N. Korea.

North Korea is positioning itself for a change of leadership. I wouldn't be surprised if what we are witnessing has more to do with internal power struggles than with us. Expect to see the new leader of N. Korea emerge during this period. We might find it surprising. China will deal with N. Korea in it's own way- that will almost certainly not be what we would want.
