Forest Preserve District Board to vote on whether to let sharpshooters control herds
Saw this when I was in Chi-town over Thanksgiving week.
If approved, the program is expected to cost about $103 to $227 per deer, depending on the number of volunteers who qualify as sharpshooters. The program will allow volunteers to hunt the deer, and the meat will be donated to area food pantries as required by state law.
