There are many telephone polls out there. I never respond. This is my own poll to see if there is a left/right bias for that survey method.

I answer just enough that the person trying to make a living (commission) gets a complete response but I never give real info.

Use the answering machine to screen calls. Almost never respond to phone polls/surveys.

The silent majority will be silent no more.

I'll do that sometimes, it depends on how busy I am or what the poll is about. Sometimes I'll just say "thank you for calling, I feel better now".

How can a person's response not be biased right or left or middle? They're asking your opinion about something political. You give your opinion based on your political beliefs. How many people answer for each side determines the outcome of the poll. The more people who answer the same way determines the percentage of the poll.

It is not a person's bias that is being measured in this poll. And exactly, "The more people who answer the same way determines the percentage of the poll."

I love reading polls so I will participate. It can also be fun to determine the poll's bias. Some are pretty straight forward but others are worded in ways to influence your vote.
