Park County lays off folks and then the Commissioners leave for a nice 3 day conference on our dime.
Someone should check that credit card next month!

The headline from parkbull.coms front page.....
No BOCC meetings week of June 1, 2010. All Commissioners are attending the Colorado Counties, Inc. conference at Vail Cascade Resort from June 1 - June 3, 2010.

You think they could care enough to at least spend the money in the county instead of the Western Slope. Maybe next year they can go to Mexico.

I checked the agenda-did not see the complete list of
rock bands. Did notice their car(Hummer?) traveling CD
had Wanda Jacksons- "Lets have a party" and
Clyde McPhatters "Club 333". Couldn't see(smeared)the other
party Rock titles.

Take a look at the last page, and you'll see a list of conference sponsors and associate members.
Those are the folks that pay the bill, for the most part.
Government officials usually attend these meetings at minimal cost.
Why?
Because - the vendors get to wine and dine them, and convince them to use their services.
That's how my conferences work, anyway

It appeared to me that there were some worthwhile subjects included.
I'm not sure why ALL BOCC members had to attend.
