We were doing the same thing 20 years ago by looking at students verbal and math scores on the ASVAB.

So, we now know that Scruffy is a teacher.
Consider: Scruffy tells us nothing. He only challenges. Asks questions.
Now consider this: teachers must know more than the students. They should instruct and give these facts to the students. Scruffy cannot demonstrate that he knows more than the students or can give them facts.

We have now identified the problem.
