Should mail thieves be shot on sight?

As usual at this time of the year there is an epidemic of mail theft. Not just from private mail boxes but even from those blue boxes right outside the USPS offices. Is there anything lower than this? (Don't answer that we all know about lj) But seriously, while I have no doubt people stole to survive during the great depression, There is very little documented about the volume of theft we are seeing today during that dark period. Is this not further evidence that thanks to the march of secularism and liberalism that this is a far less moral country than it used to be.[url=http://www.mysmiley.net:20fgk6jo]

Locking mailbox for the win and I always bring my outgoing mail to a USPS mailbox.
