"Despite the federal government’s claim of lifting the drilling moratorium in mid-October, ATP Oil and Gas Corp. is still waiting on a permit to drill in the Gulf of Mexico. ATP has become so frustrated, the company took out a quarter page ad in The Wall Street Journal. The ad content run in section A on page 11 (Dec. 27, 2010) comprised a letter to President Barack Obama. The letter contained a reference that was a simple request: “Please issue a permit so we can go back to work.”
