Calibre is good ebook management tool that will allow you to not only manage your ebooks on your computer but will convert other formats into Kindle friendly formats. Most libraries use ePub for their format for downloadable books which Calibre will convert, except Calibre can not by pass the digital media rights lock. There is a rumor, ahem, that there are free software tools that will unlock the DMR and allow the library books to be converted by Calibre to Kindle formats. That of course might be violation of the library agreement and copyright law.
