"Rumor has it that House GOP freshmen and the conservative Republican Study Committee (RSC) led by Jim Jordan beat the snot out of House Republican leadership and that the leadership is working on getting to $100 billion in cuts.
If that happens, it is great news - but there remains a big problem.
The problem is that by being so timid, Republicans are making their overall fight to cut spending all the more difficult. We all know that any cuts proposed will be painted by Democrats and a willing media as draconian and unfair. The poor will be out on the streets, food will be taken from children, etc…"
So far the Republicans this year have talked about cutting spending by about $23 billion while raising the deficit by $335 billion in unfunded tax cuts. Now this week they are proposing raising taxes on business that offer insurance to their employees that cover reproductive services. How many jobs are they creating? How much are they cutting the deficit?

lol Actualy AP announced just today the lowest number of unemployment claims since 2008 so maybe just GOP's winning elections have turned the economy around.

Good point, I know in my business, everyone I know was thrilled when the Dems lost big and it's not like the GOP is sending us thank you checks, we just know they are less likely to stick it to us with new regulations, taxes, and the health care BS.
They have time for abortion silliness; to grant themselves a week's vacation after every two of "actual work" (There's a misnomer!); they had time to vote down the provisions of the so-called "Patriot Act"... But I haven't see them do ANYTHING about jobs. In fact, I haven't seen anything that even looks like a PLAN to create jobs. All I hear is all the things they want to tear down. (Good luck with that...)
Where are the jobs?
I guess the Rep-tards don't know anything but "No"... Not terribly intelligent...
