You forgot former "half"-governor. (And I wouldn't exactly call her "mom"-ing abilities all that successful either...)"

"I find Sarah Palin very interesting, here is a woman who came out of nowhere......was plucked from near obscurity and thrust into the national spotlight. What an opportunity.....what possibilities.....I wanted to like her, I wanted to see a woman make it (I was a fan of Elizabeth Doles run for president) And then she started speaking, giving interviews, and the house of cards came crashing down. She wasn't going to be a role model for young women aspiring to go into politics, she wasn't going to be the woman who eventually makes it to the white house (at least I hope not) she wasn't the kind of woman I would like to see run this nation.

So yeah, I and others will try to point out the woman's flaws, and there are a lot of them,
and take advantage of her gaffs and mis-statements and really strange speaches to influence those who seem so enamoured of her looks that they can't see the total package. It's not obcession, it's a very deep desire to keep this woman from one day being commander-in-chief, because i think that would be a disaster of biblical proportions."

But still, neither of these responses explain to me why liberals and the liberal-leaning media in particular pursue Sarah Palin so vehemently. The coverage of her is very mean-spirited and angry. I can sense a deep hatred towards her from the reactions I read. She can't say a thing without a day of outrage.

She will never again be a viable candidate for President or Vice President. Everyone else realizes this and she must too. No need to continue to salt the earth she grows in.

There are many much more polarizing characters in the spot light...I mean seriously. I can't figure out how this one woman can so stir up the rage of what I consider an otherwise very intelligent and well educated group of people.....my liberal friends. I just don't get it.

So that's why I made the tongue-in-cheek comment about Mrs. Palin. Since I can find no other logical reason for this craziness...it must be her looks.......

Doesn't always happen, but usually the more charismatic & handsome man wins the Presidency. (The POTUS race is usually decided by the 10% of the population not really into politics.)

If Hilary had been prettier would she have won the primary over Obama?

Has anyone informed Sarah of this? She sure presents herself as a possible candidate for President, has said she might be.......I guess those of us who find her unsuitable for the job will keep knocking her down in hopes that she won't bounce up as a presidential candidate.

I recall in a vauge sort of way that the taller guy usually wins.

But we know how they think. :Whistle

"Barbara Walters admitted on a broadcast appearance with Piers Morgan that maybe Christmas wasn’t the time to say it, but it’s true – the media regarded President Obama as the “next messiah” because of his promises and policies."
