Well, I guess you know Assholes when you see them!!!
My response wasn't meant to be condescending, and I truthfully apologize if that is how it was taken. I post complete with links, of stories that I find of interest, for debate. When I see a response within moments of it being posted, it is always an attack rather than a debate of the merits of the story. Seeing the few number of postings under your name and realizing how many attacks from you I have received in the last few weeks, I assumed that you were arguing for the sake of arguing like the rest of the posters on here.
Now that I have apologized for hurting your feelings, my response to the question is No, I don't think that he should get involved but he did immediately when these demonstrations occurred but that is all he did. This is an example to me of him not knowing what he is doing, but continually doing it.
You interpret the title and the story to mean that he would walk a picket line, ONLY. It seems to me that he was saying that he would do whatever was needed, thus the story.
Now let me make this perfectly clear to you. Yes, I am an asshole, but never would I think I am a condescending one!

Apology accepted, but I never said you hurt my feelings. You read that into my response. It was only an observation of mine... not a statement about hurt feelings.
If the comment about "within moments of it being posted" was directed at me, you a very mistaken. You posted one day at 5:02 p.m. I replied the next afternoon at 1:52 p.m., almost 24 hours later.
I didn't respond to the title of the thread exclusively. I responded to you linking the title of the thread "promised march" to what he actually said "walk the picket line." As I posted, they are two distinctly different things.
I didn't realize I was responding to that many of your posts. I respond to posts that I'm interested in responding to. I don't pick them by who wrote them.
Just to be very clear.. I believe this is a states rights issue. It should be decided by people in Wisconsin, not in Colorado or Washington.
Sir/Ma'am: Whichever applies. The title is not made up by me, but by the writer of the article. To be honest, in this case, I disagree with you. The issue happens to be one that affects more than just the State of Wisconsin. It is the issue of whether or not Public Sector jobs should be Unionized. I see it as becoming too powerful of a government beyond what the Constitution calls for. That, of course is my opinion.
One more apology is necessary since I am quite sick today, I have a tendency at those times to get rude. I will just sign off so as to avoid any further arguments.
The issue of whether public sector jobs should be unionized should be decided in the state where those people are employed, unless they are federal government jobs.
