The United States hired the ferry Maria Dolores after commercial flights from Tripoli could not keep up with demand. The Tripoli airport was overwhelmed, with as many as 10,000 people waiting to leave the country. A charter plane had also left Tripoli on Friday carrying the remaining American diplomatic personnel, as well as other American citizens and people from other countries.
The ferry carried 338 passengers, including 183 Americans. I thought you you bee more outrages that he hires a ferry and almost half were not Americans.
Yes it is too bad that 18 foot high waves suspended the evacuation. Imagine the outrage if it had gone down halfway across or had been sunk by terrorists. I am just glad they all got out safe, but if you feel good complaining about soemthing as petty as this, hey knock yourself out.

Here's the reality....as sending a plane and picking up passengers are two different things...

There were reports that Canadians were making their own ways out, by air, sea and land. A Foreign Affairs tally of evacuees came close to the number of people who had originally said they wanted out of the unstable country.
When asked by the CBC how many Canadian citizens they had evacuated a Foreign Affairs spokesperson said the “number currently stands at zero.”
“[My understanding is] that all of our citizens have found their own way out, through the good graces of our allies,” the spokesperson told the CBC."
it's ok, if a conservative had been in charge that ferry would have left immediately in the stormy seas...probably capsized, and all we would hear is.....well, at least we did it faster than a liberal could have, and the deaths? well that's just collateral damage....the end justifies the means.

See I did get that idea from conservatives....they use it in Iraq.....they use it in Afghanistan....and they use it here in the good ol' USA.
