Silence on Islam

I am ceasing all posts or replies to posts concerning Islam. It is accomplishing nothing as stated by CinnamonGirl and, after reflecting upon this, I must agree. I hope that my views of Islam are incorrect but time will tell.

If it's not Muslims you have to be super afraid of, it's illegal aliens.

I'm really disappointed to read this. It is obvious you are a wise man and someone whose judgement I trust. Maybe we could start a private forum for those of us who share similar views and wish to share information. There may be a handful of folks here that can't see the impending storm. But there are many here that would appreciate warnings from thoughtful, well-informed posters like you.

I believe there are message boards for just that purpose.....you may want to search around for one, but I am quite sure there are tea party, conservative, Republican and even far right wing message boards out there. A community message board like 285Bound should, and does, welcome all posters no matter what their political leanings, and that is as it should be. If we start splintering off into "private rooms" we lose the intent of this site and others like it, where all opinions are welcome. I can't imagine wanting just a left wing board.....by reading other opinions, and having to justify my own, I learn and grow and understand more. When I can't stand the heat, I get out of the kitchen for a while.
