I haven't seen this on the MSM so it must be false...right?
It was always the women, and above all the young ones, who were the most bigoted adherents of the Party, the swallowers of slogans, the amateur spies and nosers−out of unorthodoxy
What hasn't been mentioned yet is that people would actually VOTE for the non-candidates who weren't running and had not expressed a position... that they would actually VOTE for them just because they had the word Tea Party attached to their names, without knowing anything about them.
If people vote for a candidate blindly -- based on party affiliation alone -- they get what they deserve.

Sure. although the (D)'s and the (R)'s are usually out campaigning, so there's some sense that they are actual candidates... in this case, they weren't and the plan was contingent upon sheeple voting for the (TP) candidates blindly.
That's why I said if people vote for a candidate blindly -- based on party affiliation alone -- they get what they deserve.

I agree with that, party over person is generally a recipe for disaster, especially when the motivation is to vote against a person based upon current dissatisfaction with their party by casting a vote for the member of the opposition party.
Not just Obama kresspin, it also explains Wilson, FDR, Nixon, Carter, Reagan and Clinton as well as majorities given to a single party in Congress during some of those administrations, supermajorities in some cases.
Really what we need to decide as a nation is whether or not we wish to have power concentrated into a single governmental entity as every other failed empire has done in the past or return to the multiple levels of limited power that was originally established as the means of protecting individual liberty. That is the fundamental question that we need to answer and then express in the voting booth. It isn't about who loves unions, or who loves corporations - the fundamental problem at this point is who wants one government in control of most everything and who wants each level of government in control of only a fraction of it.
