Indiana Prosecutor Suggested Scott Walker Fake Attack On Himself To Discredit Unions

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indiana prosecutor said one of his deputies resigned Thursday after admitting he sent an email to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker suggesting the Republican fake an attack on himself to discredit the public employee unions protesting his plan to strip them of nearly all collective bargaining rights.

Johnson County Prosecutor Brad Cooper said Carlos Lam resigned in a phone call about 5 a.m. Thursday after acknowledging that he sent the Feb. 19 email to Walker suggesting "the situation in WI presents a good opportunity for what's called a 'false flag' operation."

"If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions' cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the public unions," Lam wrote in the email, which was obtained by The Associated Press.

Cooper said Lam initially denied sending the email and said someone had hacked into his email account. But Lam later acknowledged he had written the message, and resigned hours before the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism reported the contents publicly Thursday.

So? There are enough actual death threats against Walker and his family.

A single slimebag that happens to be a republican. This was not a grandiose scheme put on by the GOP. It was one out-of-line nutjob. You democrats have those in your ranks as well.

LJ thinks all Republicans are edvil clones and all Democrats are a rainbow of diversity who's goal is to spread peace, love, and fairness throughout the world. I don't know if there are any meds to help her but it becomes more obvious with every post that she is beyond help.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

When are Republicans going to learn that they can't take plays out of the Democratic Playbook?

Nah, I just sit back and watch and the Republicans just keep proving over and over again what they really are...

By the way, Walker's illegal law is in the state Supreme Court now...Likely to fail, and a HUGE number of the people who voted for him before are now wishing they hadn't and talking about joining the recall effort... I think you're going to see the so-called teabagger candidate go down in flames.

Wisconsin is a very liberal state and I was suprised to see the color change in November. And once again Dems have to turn to their best ally, liberal courts to legislate instead of what the voters wanted. The Badger State senators might as well go back to the state house. Anything that the legislature passes will just be struck down by the courts.

Good to know the voters don't have power, eh? And this time it isn't corporate lobbyists running riot, but elitest law school grads.

Why, yes... If it's unconstitutional, or passed illegally in violation of the state's own laws, it WILL be struck down by the courts. I guess it's kind of like Colorado's Amendment-2...If a majority of the people vote for something that is unconstitutional, being a majority doesn't count...Which is the way it should be.
