Same old worn out rhetoric from same old worn out women.

......If I were he I would have phrased it differently, that those who would try to deny the right to an abortion for women in this country do not deserve the freedoms of the constitution. It is everyone's right to think differently, it is also anyone's right to work for change to the laws. I disagree with removing the funding to Planned Parenthood because it performs abortion or counsels women on abortions......whether or not they deserve federal funding is a totally different question......removing it based on their performing abortions is wrong because abortions are a legal option to women.....like it or not.

Once again we have several examples of how conservatives would rather attack the poster than discuss the issue. The thread was not about if abortion is murder.....or the morality of abortion, or really abortion at all except for one man's ststement that I took to mean that those who would deny other citizens their legal rights in this nation do not deserve the freedoms of our constitution.

But you could not resist attacking me....calling me a baby killer....when you actually don't know how I personally feel about abortion. You make assumptions then attack those assumptions. I actually have very strong feelings about it for myself.....but I do not impose those beliefs or those feelings on others, most especially those who are exercising their LEGAL right to an abortion. Nor do I try to impose my beliefs on those who believe in the right-to-life. We have laws in this country for a reason.....

MB.....who said pregnancy is unhealthy? when referring to abortion to protect a woman's health my understanding is that means to save her life......yes, for some women being pregnant can kill them, and the decision has to be made, save the baby or save the mother. I am glad I have never had to make that decision, and my heart breaks for those who have faced it. I surely wouldn't presume to tell them what to decide.

All of this, of course, is off the topic.....so have at it. If anyone wants to discuss the actual topic I'll be back.

Trouble.....you are so damn predictable.....I could almost write your posts for you, if I were inclined to post drivel.

archer, you have made it very clear how you feel..."impose your beliefs" by sharing that you don't agree with abortions?? If you were against it, you would be screaming STOP abortions they are killing unborn babies..have you? Not at all, you buy into this PC crap..oh, I can't share my feelings or I will offend someone and hurt their feelings. Since when has that stopped you from telling people here on 285 you don't agree with them!..to me, you're just a hypocrite...spin it archer...its sad that you agree with killing the unborn..wonder how you would feel..just knowing if your mother decided to abort you at 4 months, and you could say nothing! Would you be happy about it, or would you say mommy please don't kill me? I think all babies have a right to be born..to bad you don't!

archer, let's talk about the issue. Point out in the constitution where a woman has the "right" to kill a baby. Then show that pregnancy is ill health.

I am sort of inclined to think that LJ and archer have very personal reasons for their rabid defense of abortion, but I cannot bring myself to accept that inclination. I have to divorce that thought from my head.

Major Bean....you have just taken hateful posting to new lows.

I'm outa here.....go back and read this thread, then reflect on what you have just intimated, then think what kind of person inflicts that kind of hatred and venemous innuendo onto another poster....then you tell the others where I did anything more than point out that abortion is legal in this country....hate that fact if you want, I respect anyones right to do that, but I do not respect you.

I thought that I would stop the insinuation that you have always done on other threads concerning homosexuality. How do you like it?

And from your indignation one would imagine that you also think that abortion is murder. Hmm.

archer wrote: Whatever one thinks of abortion, right now it is a LEGAL right in this country, and until that FACT is changed, trying to stop women from access to abortion is denying them their rights. People don't get to do that just because they disagree.

You are right archer, and only a judge who has his/her own biases and predudices get to decide what we have a right to do or not to do no matter how ugly the act is. With such a serious act as killing unborn babies, it really is a shame that we put that decision in the hands of a few imperfect humans while the majority of citizens get no vote. Sometimes I wonder how we have managed to make it this far......progress? rofllol Not in my book. (and no, I'm not religious)

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
