Ok, so we have biased news everywhere from talk radio to cable to major network news. We know it's biased not only because of what they decide to tell us, but also, what they neglect to tell us. So I believe most of the news is accurate on every station, it's just not all the same news all the time.
I thought it would be interesting to see if any of you can find INACCURATE news on your favorite hated news network. If you don't watch or listen to your most hated fake news network, then you must be getting correct information from one that you trust. Either way, post the bulls**t here if and when you find it.
Lets start fresh and not litigate old stuff...who will be the first to find a new little gem of bullcrap starting 3/28/11 ?
(and yes, you can also use political commentators as long as it's obviously not their opinion...they must state it as being fact)
GO!

Media outlets' publishing Deborah Richardson's (Chief Program Officer, Women's Funding Network) factoids on sex trafficking as found in the Huffington Post.
up to 300,000 children trafficked for sex in America every year.
These numbers were derived for the sole purpose of obtaining funding and as the article describes below, any investigation by reporters would have uncovered the "bad" data. Instead the news parrots what they are told, especially if it sells. News outlets that do so report on the level of the Inquirer.
The flume published an article about the gov take for local sales taxes for 2010. The problem is that the article came out the day or the day after the quarterly filers (which would be many small local businesses) have to file for Q4. Thus there was no way to actually account for 25% of the annual revenue of many local business, including the holiday season, but some pretty accurate numbers were given...but they could not have been accurate for real.
