:pop Do we need to separate you guys!

There is a chance I might have seen you. Those USO shows were a great break.

Thank You.

A simple thank you might have been nice.

You might have met my brother LJ, on his 3rd tour as a chopper pilot he flew a lot of USO members around. We were grateful that tour was safer than his first two.

I doubt that I would have crossed paths with Fonda... I was there in '68-'69, and she didn't do her "tour" until 1972... But I sure crossed paths with a lot of guys, and thousands of "faces in the crowd." I remember one particularly memorable concert that we did out on one of the forward airbases...We played in a hanger that was big enough to put about 3 Goodyear blimps in, (a B-52 hanger, maybe?), and at the end of the concert we were exiting off the back of the stage and one hand stuck out and grabbed mine, and asked me, "Are you REALLY from __________?" (They had introduced all of us and our "home towns" at the end of the show.)

He said, "You look so familiar!?! Did you go to _______ High School?" (No...)

"Did you go to _______ Junior High School?" (No...)

"Did you go to _______ Elementary?" "Yes!!"

"I'm DOUGLAS GREEN!...I sat behind you in the 3rd grade!"

Tearful reunion... It was so weird to go halfway around the world and run into someone in the middle of a war that you went to GRADE School with!

What Vikings? I'm looking forward to college football, there won't be any NFL...On a positive note, the Bengals won't have losing season this year! :woo hoo:
