Our indoor cat ran out the door last night as I was taking the dogs out and hasn't been seen since. He is a gray short hair ("Russian Blue") neutered male weighing 14 lbs and is 7 yrs old. He is longer than most cats, and has a small tuft of white hair on his stomach. He is microchipped.
We are located in the Woodside subdivision near Pine Junction and we are near the Lodge Pole Dr. and Gatewood Lane intersection.
Please give us a call if you think you see him at 303-816-0751.
Only speculation to report. I'm now thinking he's gone, though. We are on 10 acres and searched all of it. In the farthest corner, over 100 yards away I think, we found two patches of gray fur about 30ft apart (plus some bits of white fur which didn't match him; a fight?). It seemed too long to be his fur (short hair cat) and could of been a rabbit, but seems like too much of a coincidence and the color was close.
Darn, had him (Rocky) for 7 years. I see several small pets outside around here (he was an inside cat), and it's hard to believe a predator found him in just one night out (he's a big cat). He'd gotten out a few times during the day before, and usually hid under the deck, and came back within 15 minutes. But not that night.
One of our indoor cats got out a few years back and it was 5 days before I found him, about 1/4 mile away up and over a ridge, in the woods, about 30 feet up a big pine tree.My husband had walked under that very tree on a couple of days, but the cat kept quiet (and he's a loud Siamese). He'd gotten up but couldn't get down. Off to grab hubby and extension ladder.
