I'm a member of the Colorado House Rabbit Society and received an e-mail that wire crates are needed for the rabbits rescued and being housed at Foothills Animal Shelter. Minimum size is 24 x 18 x 18 (and bigger). Wire crates will enable the bunnies more light, they will be able to see the other bunnies and will provide enough space for volunteers to add a shelf inside for vertical jumping. A lot of the bunnies are being housed in covered dog crates like the ones used for air travel. If you have any wire crates of this size and would be willing to let Foothills use it, please take it to the shelter. If you'd like to get it back, please be sure to put your name and phone number on it so it can be returned. Thanks everyone.
