EVERGREEN - Pet owners are facing a new threat in their yards, as mushrooms begin cropping up, becoming a temptation for pets.
Take the Lynn family, for example.
They were headed up to the mountains for their annual family vacation, but this time they added a furry family member, Champ, a 13-week-old puppy the family had gotten three weeks ago.
I do mushroom patrol in our fenced yard almost every day, and especially after a rainfall. I have never seen my dog particularly interested in those he sees on our walks, but I'd rather not give him the temptation when he's in the yard on his own.
