This very special girl is looking for her forever home - she is under vet care now and receiving two insulin shots a day. Some of you may remember that she was found in Evergreen Meadows a few months back and picked up by Animal Control. Fortunately, someone noticed that she was not well and she was taken to a vet where she was diagnosed as a diabetic.

After extensive searches, no one was able to find her owners, so EAPL took her in. Cadbury is an amazing dog and she does not even know how special she is. She is somewhere between 5-8 years old. Some people think she might have some English Lab in her as she has a very large head and huge paws. She is very active and loves to go on walks. She comes to some of the EAPL adoption events on Tuesday at the Bergen Park Farmers Market and she is a crowd favorite until they realize she will need her shots and then they tend to shy away. Once you learn how to give Cadbury her shots, they are very easy to administer. If you are interested in meeting Cadbury please complete an EAPL adoption application and their volunteers will set up an interview. At this time, she is not listed on the web site.

Cadbury update - she is still looking for her forever home. She is now regulated on her insulin intake and she has had an ultra sound to check her pancreas; all is doing very well. Her insulin will run you about $25 every two months and it is available at Wal-Mart. Some say she might have some English Lab in her as she has a blocky head and these huge paws. She is a very eager, happy, energetic girl who wants some one-on-one time with her special family; she gets along with everybody and everything. Her favorite thing is to watch the kitties, she just loves to stare at them and watch them play, and it is her form of television. Cadbury is truly a 90+# teddy bear (or choc bunny). She really wants to go out on walks; just bring plenty of water for her. Meet her today by completing your EAPL application on line at www.eapl.com.
