The rats I've had are all fancy domesticated- they're pretty, clean and smart. My last two died back in December of 2007. We got a new lab instead of more rats.
Rats are so cool, aren't they? People think they are dirty and the wild ones might be, but the domesteicated ones I've known were amazing; clean and smart, just like you say. Labs are great dogs. (I was joking about labs as in laboratory...nevermind, I just think in twisted circles and crack myself up sometimes!)
Hubby's iguana and I'm fish. Nope to both, I like critters you can cuddle (and I'm definitely not cuddling with a lizard). Guess we'd better stick with the cats, dogs, alpacas and resident foxes. Can't cuddle with the foxes but they're cute enough to make up for it.
