Another FYI

The hubby came home last night a little shook up.
Said he was driving on 285 near the Dozier Ranch (across from Horn Cemetery) and said he saw the biggest Mountain Lion he has ever seen. Said he/she must have been at least 125 lbs or more.
For those folks living in Mill Iron D, The Ranchos, or Burland near Rosalie.....you got a big cat hanging around. A REALLY big cat>

125 lbs is not big for a Mt. Lion. 190+ is a big cat.

The elk herd up here is huge this year and I'm sure with the little ones on the way it's good hunting ground

There has been a mountain lion hanging around the end of Jubilee Trail in PJ. This would be about 1.5 miles down 126 from the light. I haven't seen it, but the neighbors said it was harassing their dog.

The weight was just a guess on my part. The hubby says she is BIG.
He said her tail was at least 5 ft long.
We aren't letting the bullies out after dark anymore.

I always send my wife's poodle out first at night. No yelps after 10 minutes and I let my two Springers out.

Given the length of the tail that is most likely a male and in 175 lbs plus range. Hopefully he has only a taste for elk and deer, unfortunately cougars are very opportunistic, so nothing is safe. Some good news is that they have a wide range and make a loop of their territory every 7 to 10 days following elk and deer herds. You may not run into him for a week or so.
