The Native Plant Master® Program in the Metro to Mountain area has announced a significantly expanded schedule of 31 offerings for 2016.
Outdoor experiences such as the new Discover! Wildflower classes inspire participants to learn more about natives in their natural habitats. Indoor classes are offered on a wide range of plant-related topics such as wildflowers, invasive weeds and native plant landscaping. For those who would like to brush up on their botanical skills, several Basic Botany classes are scheduled. All those completing three NPM curriculum courses are awarded a Colorado Flora Certificate with no volunteer requirement. Those interested in educating others can apply to become a certified Native Plant Master volunteer. The program also maintains the Colorado Plant Database with research-based information on more than 1,000 Colorado plants on the CSU Extension Colorado Plants Database website.
