Tomatoes in Evergreen? You Bet!

Choose the right produce to grow in your mountain food garden. With our short growing season, mountain soil, and cool summers, what provisions can we possibly grow in our gardens that will produce? As it turns out, a lot! Just in time to plan for a great 2016 garden season, join master gardener Margaret Rode in a fruitful discussion of seeds and plants that are specially adapted for our conditions. Learn about sources for high altitude seeds, easy tactics for getting an early start on things, and choosing varieties that are tough, hardy, AND productive.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
