Can any veteran MMT resident tell this "Green" Pine Junction home owner if the mushrooms popping up in my dirt driveway are normal for the area? I haven't seen any all summer until just this morning. Now I have a nice little Gnome garden that my grandson is quite interested in. So my concern is if they are dangerous like I had been raised to understand, or just a non-threatening growth typical this time of year. Thanks for any incite into my unique situation.
Most of the mushrooms up here are poisonous to humans and animals if you would post a picture I could tell you. I am not an expert but I know all the ones that grow in my yard and driveway are all poisonous so I can tell you if they are what we have.
I have dogs so any that grow where they are I pull up using gloves and throw them in the trash then wash my hand real well.
Hi GPixley and welcome to My Mountain Town, glad you've joined us!
Mushrooms are a favorite food of mine, but I'm sad to say I'm not very good at identifying all the varieties there are out there. There's a great mushroom page on Facebook that might help:

. Pictures are a definite must for identification. Tell us what you find out!
"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
