We love animals at Mad Jack's Mountain Brewery in Bailey as you know!

We will be collecting pet supplies for local vets from Crow Hill Vet Clinic who are headed down to Texas on Friday to help the victims of the hurricane. We're in need of dog food, dog kennels, food, water, cash, toiletries, etc.

We will be collecting these supplies until Thursday afternoon as they are leaving on Friday.

If you have any questions please pm us.

Please help the pets of Houston if you can!!!

Dr. Sheila Ricewatkins at Crow Hill Vet Clinic is heading down on Friday to provide assistance to victims of Hurricane Harvey. Her husband left Tuesday to go down with supplies and a boat to help relatives and anyone else in the area he can. Intermountain Humane Society and Mad Jack's Mountain Brewery are collecting items you wish to donate for Dr. Ricewatkins, but if you don't have anything to donate or can't get there by tomorrow, you can send some cash by donating to this GoFundMe.

We personally vouch for Dr. Ricewatkins and her husband, they are good people who will help others as best they can. As you can see from her skill set below, she has a lot of experience to provide victims of this horrendous disaster. If you've wanted to help but weren't sure of a good nonprofit to donate to, this is a great opportunity.

Help for Houston

I am a Veterinarian trained by NVRT (a disbanded/ defunded FEMA/NDMS group, previously VMAT), CO Veterinary Medical Response Team (also defunded) and a local evacuation group. I am closing my practice for the holiday weekend, assembling a team (including vet techs) and have solicited our amazing mountain community for supplies and donations to bring to Hurricane Harvey disaster survivors. I am working with our local humane society, Intermountain Humane Society as well for finding fosters to transport surrendered homeless pets to make room for continued survivors. Abaxis has donated 100 heartworm tests to us for our trip and we have up to 2000lbs of pet food. People of this community are amazing in time of disaster and anxious to help.... A group of 5 will be leaving Colorado 6pm Friday night and returning Tuesday am...we will have kennels, some medical supplies, and willing to transport surrenders back to colorado as we organize fosters and coordinate with local resources for after care. We also will supply our own fuel needs from Colorado as we understand it is unavailable in the disaster zones. Thank you for your time and support.

From Crow Hill Vet Hospital:
Update on Help to Houston!! WE NEED A TRUCK! IMHS is kind enough to let us borrow their horse trailer, which is wonderful. But....at this point, we have nothing to haul it as the RV company says our weight limit is 2500. We are in desperate need for a Truck to haul the horse trailer as we have so many donations, we need a place to store it all on the trip down. Please, if you know someone who is willing to lend us their truck to haul the 2 horse trailer, you would be helping us so much!! Share, Share, Share & thank you all so much for your support!

Update from Crow Hill Pet Hospital: they've now got a truck to pull the IMHS trailer, and possibly a 2nd truck to pull another trailer.

Here's the latest developments: we have 2 diesels pulling trailers (imhs 2 horse trailer and are working out the details of the 2nd trailer.). The RV for 7, will also pull a trailer and we are loading up on some serious donations. We had to move our drop off donations to the upper level office space!!!!!!.
We are gonna need more gas!!! think diesel !!

A grateful thank you to everyone who contributed and donated to this effort. The Watsons are back home now, and brought with them some puppies that will be up for adoption soon (there's rumors of a meet-n-greet at Mad Jack's but haven't heard anything official). All told $3,555 of $3,500 goal was raised and much good was done!

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther
