I am crying.....seriously. SG I am so sorry for your kitty loss. Boy it is so hard to say goodbye, but knowing that you did it before having a really awful night should be a small comfort. What a beautiful kitty cat. Goodbye sweet April.

Thank you CG! I would have felt worse if I let her go through tonight and suffer at all. I'm glad I was there with her at the end. xoxo

IF IT SHOULD BE

If it should be that I grow weak
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won.

You will be sad, I understand.
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day, more than all the rest,
Your love for me must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years.
What is to come can hold no fears.
You'd not want me to suffer so;
The time has come -- please let me go.

Take me where my need they'll tend,
And please stay with me till the end.
Hold me firm and speak to me,
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time that you will see
The kindness that you did for me.
Although my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.

Please do not grieve -- it must be you
Who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years;
Don't let your heart hold back its tears.

It is agony I went through it with my kitty. That is one small thing to be thankful for.

Oh Mtn. Gramma....... THAT IS EXACTLY what I needed to read before I went to bed. I feel now I will get a peaceful night's sleep. My little one and Franz were crying too. It was hard to choke out the words to read it to them. Thank you more than you'll ever know. :heart: I'm going to copy and past it to my FB page.

CG, love to you for your lost kitty too. :heart: It's so hard huh?

My best friend is gone. Yesterday I found him struggling to stand and his rear legs would not support him anymore. Yesterday was hard, today was even harder when memories come flooding back just when you think you have everything under control. He had a good 15 years. At least I hope he thought so. Goodbye Yo.

I found this picture of him from 2003, before his spots started turning grey. It's amazing how grey he became.

This was his favorite sun spot. Although sometimes he had to share.

His purple coat. What can I say, he loved this coat.

This ended up being the place he spent 95% of his time. No matter what, he was able to make it up on the couch.

Oh Paca, I'm so sorry to hear that Yo has passed. My prayers and thoughts will be with you as you go through this rough time. He was such a lucky dog to have you as him momma for the past 15 years. I loved all the pics you shared of him. Loving thoughts out to you tonight. :heart:

Hail Oreo!
Paca, you knew what was right for your best buddy, but I understand your sadness. I wish you comfort.
I am so disappointed, he was going to tell me all your deepest darkest secrets, next time we met. Oreo was such a good buddy to you. He will be sorely missed. :Smileflower:
