Here are some upcoming FREE fishing clinics and workshops both for beginners and enthusiastic anglers.

Bass Pro Shops: Alan Reyes’s fly fishing for beginners, Tuesday, June 15, 6:30 p.m.; bass fishing in Colorado, Wednesday, June 16, 6 p.m.; workshop bass fishing in Colorado; also June 16, 6:30 p.m., workhop on how to use fish finders; Saturdady, June 19, 9:30 a.m., introduction to fly fishing. Many of these programs are offered weekly, but click here for a complete calendar of upcoming events. 9790 Northfield Blvd. (north of I -70, east of I-270); 720-385-3600.

Orvis Englewood: Fly casting clinics, Saturdays, June 19 and 26, 9 a.m. Reservations required. 9615-A E. County Line Rd., Englewood; 303-768-9600.
The Hatch Fly Shop: Getting Started in Fly Fishing,” Thursday June 17, 10 a.m.-12 noon. 34365 Hwy. 285, Pine Junction; 303-816-0487.

Blue Quill Angler: Getting Started in Fly Fishing,” Thursday June 17, 10 a.m.-12 noon. 1532 Evergreen Pkwy., Evergreen; 303-674-4700.

Flies & Lies: “Introduction to Fly Fishing,” Saturdays, June 19 (full), June 26 (still availabiityat this writing), 10 a.m. to 12 noon. They only take 6 people each week, so classes fill up quickly, and reservations are required. 8570 67, Deckers; 303-647-2237.

Colorado Mountain Club: Larry Kinger of Royal Gorge Anglers Fly Shop presentation on ftying flies and fishing the Arkansas River, Saturday June 19, 7 p.m. CMC, 710 10th St. (at Washington Ave.), Golden; 303-279-3080.

Gee, I wish I had seen this earlier... anyway these type of classes could be posted on the Community Calendar?
