Saw this mother Moose and her calf today. They stayed put until we went to the house and got the camera. Last year we saw two Moose cows in the same spot.
I saw what looked like two new fox kits, running and playing today. Like in this pic from awhile back. Early summer is great for the wild life watching!

These were on upper Elk Creek. It is amazing how the banning of leg-hold traps has allowed us to have moose. Since the ban, beaver have come back and built ponds, which has attracted duck and geese and they can now rear ducklings and goslings where it was not possible before. This has resulted in an increase in the fox population. Also attracted by these beaver ponds are the moose.
