Colorado State Parks Expo at The Wildlife Experience

Description: http://thewildlifeexperience.org/signat ... .gifPARKER , Colo. – Colorado State Parks will present an exposition at The Wildlife Experience on Saturday, April 28, featuring many of the fun outdoor recreational activities offered at the 42 state parks scattered across the state. In addition to presentations about boating, birding, fishing, camping and hiking, visitors will meet park rangers, design their own park, partake in a scavenger hunt and enjoy other action activities. Bring young ones to learn about snakes, kayaking, rocks and wildlife.

The best part about the event is that after exploring the outdoor fun activities at Colorado State Parks, visitors get to explore the exciting exhibits The Wildlife Experience has to offer. There’s a new 8-ft. polar bear, a Rainforest Adventure exhibit and beautiful fine art galleries, in addition to their exciting permanent exhibits. The activities are geared towards young and old, so there’s something for the whole family. Admission to The Wildlife Experience is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors 65 and older, and $6 for children 3-12. Children under three are free.

Enjoy the new exhibit, “Are We There Yet? A Journey from Arizona the Alaska,” which opens at The Wildlife Experience on Saturday, April 28. Through paintings, sculptures, wildlife displays and educational activities, visitors can take an imaginary road trip along the Rocky Mountains from Arizona to Alaska. At tents along the route, youngsters and adults can tie fishing flies, learn bird song identification, try out kayaking gear, match wildlife with tracks and experience other outdoor fun.

The Wildlife Experience is located at 10035 Peoria St. in Parker, about 10 miles south of downtown Denver and one mile east of I-25, at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Peoria Street. "Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill
