Has anyone tried this "Safe Water System"? It is a small UV light in a pen format and it sterilizes water (hence the clever name). It claims to kill 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa. Just checkin if anyone has any experience with it
Thanks

Seen them and thought about buying one. If I have read correctly, you still need to filter prior to using the steri-pen.

I got mine in the mail today...found it online for 25 bucks less than REI.
It came with a bottle and a "pre-filter" for screening out larger stuff...
I'm taking the family camping next week down on the Conejos and will let you guys know how it works

I have never used one yet. I thought of buying one but was unsure of relying on something with batteries for my water purification. I would definitely have a back up plan (boil, tabs, or filter). It is appealing because its small, light (no pun intended), and fast.
