Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) invites runners to compete in the 2014 Evergreen Trail Racing Series, brought to you by the Stagecoach Sports Grill -- a challenging five-race series of running events on mountainous terrain around scenic Evergreen!

Distances range from a family-oriented 2-mile run/walk to an epic half-marathon to the top of Bergen Peak (elevation 9,708 feet), a climb of well over 2,000 vertical feet.

[center:w42e9bts]June 7 -- Evergreen Mountain 15k (Starts at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park)
June 28 -- Elk Meadow Trail Race 5k & 10k (Starts at Buchanan Park Rec Center)
August 2 -- Mt. Falcon 15K (Starts at Mt. Falcon Park, east entrance; runners should park at The Fort Restaurant, 19192 Colorado 8, Morrison, and will be shuttled to the start/finish line. No parking is allowed at the trailhead.)
August 30 -- Bergen Peak Half Marathon (Starts at Buchanan Park Rec Center)
October 4 -- Fall EverGold 10-Mile Run and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk (Starts at Lair o' the Bear)[/center:w42e9bts]


Cost:
Race registration is $30 in advance and $40 race day, which includes a technical running shirt, or register for ALL 5 races for $120 (only one shirt per series registration). The Fall EverGold Fun Run/Walk registration is only $10, with no shirt included.

Times:
Races start at 8 AM (pre-registration opens at 7 AM), except the Fall EverGold Classic, which starts at 9 AM, with pre-registration opening at 8 AM.


Logistics:
Participants can pick up their race bibs and technical running shirts on race day, and should bring a reusable water bottle to the races. There will be no water/aid stations on the courses; this series is cup-free.

Fall EverGold 10-Mile Run - October 4
The Fall EverGold Trail Race is a ten-mile out and back race that takes place at Lair O' the Bear Open Space Park in Idledale. Runners will meet at the main parking lot in Idledale, just off of Highway 73. The course has runners taking the ascent up the trail first, then turning around to enjoy the decent over the second half of the race.

Fall EverGold 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk - October 4
Enjoy a refreshing activity with family and friends on a beautiful fall morning. Medals for all finishers! The Fall EverGold Fun Run is a two-mile out and back course that takes place at Lair O' the Bear Open Space Park in Idledale. The course has runners run/walk along side Bear Creek, as they enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery of the park. Both Races: Runners will meet at the main parking lot in Idledale, just off of Highway 74.

Andy Ames took top honors in the Fall EverGold 10-Mile Trail Race in Lair o' the Bear Open Space Park on Saturday, October 4, 2014, finishing in a time of 1:10:38. Evergreen's Chris Adamowski dominated the women, finishing in a time of 1:29:52. Learn more .
