Rotten snake in the grass... Actually the photo is a good reminder that the rattlers are out and the visual is useful because it's easy to walk up on a rattle snake and not see it until it moves and/or rattles. Several years ago I was out wandering in the woods with the Wundermutt and went to kick a stick laying in the middle of the trail. As my foot got closer to the stick I realized it wasn't a stick it was a snake 
! Fortunately for me it was a bull snake and it just went on his way off to the other side of the trail.
