Ranger saw this rattlesnake when reaching to pick up trash near it in Clear Creek Canyon Park. Always look closely!

Rotten snake in the grass... Actually the photo is a good reminder that the rattlers are out and the visual is useful because it's easy to walk up on a rattle snake and not see it until it moves and/or rattles. Several years ago I was out wandering in the woods with the Wundermutt and went to kick a stick laying in the middle of the trail. As my foot got closer to the stick I realized it wasn't a stick it was a snake :blink: ! Fortunately for me it was a bull snake and it just went on his way off to the other side of the trail.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
