Fall 2014 Visitor Programs!
***Valid parks pass required for each day***
*All Programs meet at the Ranch Hand Group Picnic Area[/center]

Second Nature Hike (Everyone)
9 am Each Tuesday
Oct 7 - Mason Creek Hike (7 miles):
Join a guide for a spectacular hike through a canyon/riparian environment into a beautiful Aspen forest! Visit the ruins of a historic mill site, and descend via scenic Old Mill Trail to historic Staunton Ranch Trail!

Oct 14 - Scout Line Hike (6 miles):
Join a guided hike and discover the breath-taking views of Scout Line Trail's high vistas! (Moderate to Difficult)

Kids Crafts
10 am Each Wednesday
Bring the kids for an hour of interactive exploration of Colorado’s newest State Park! Each week offers a different outdoor educational adventure!
Oct 1 - Aspen Leaves
Oct 8 - Duck! Duck! Goose!
Oct 15 - Snowshoe Hare! The real Bigfoot!

Second Nature Hike (Active Adults)
9 am Each Thursday
Oct 2 - Aspen colors Hike!
Oct 9 - Elk Falls Overlook Day Hike. Join the Park's Interpreter for a guided hike to Elk Falls Overlook (10.2 miles). Bring lunch, water and rain gear!
Oct 16 - History Hike. Join a guided hike and learn the history of the Staunton family and other colorful characters who played a role in the history of the area.

Saturday Oct 4
Interpreter Guided Hikes
10am & 1pm (2 miles)
Join a guided hike and learn the history of the Staunton family and other colorful characters who played a role in the history of the area.

Sunday October 5
Interpreter's Table
10am - 3pm
Tremendous Trees! Participants will learn the botanical differences and unique characteristics of the Park's trees.

Sunday October 12
Interpreter's Table
10am - 3pm
Ungulates in the Area? Hands on display of Colorado's large mammals. Discover what the "Rut" is all about and how these animals prepare for the rough winter ahead.

Friday October 24
Stargazing (Families)
7:00pm
Enjoy a star spangled night with the constellations and enjoy entertaining stories of romance and turmoil of Greek Gods and Goddesses!
