Don't forget that the following weekend is Marmot Fest 2015!

Yes! Adopt a Marmot is back! At Staunton State Park's 2nd Annual Marmot Fest July 18th and 19th, the Friends of Staunton State Park will be "adopting" these adorable stuffed marmots, and you can get a Friends of Staunton State Park membership at the same time and help support additional improvements at the park!

The families who came to Marmot Fest last year had a lot of fun, and the Staunton State Park volunteers will have many of the same activities at this year's, including marmot mask & puppet making, a scavenger hunt, and more! Have you picked up your Marmot Habitat Map from participating businesses and looked for the marmot cutout in each host business to get your sticker? Collect all the stickers, put them on the map, and bring the map to Marmot Fest to collect a prize!

Today at the park at 10am, our Kids Activity is Fishing Fun!
Thursday: Staunton Cabins History Hike, 9am
Friday: our weekly Elk Falls Hike, 9am (11 miles)

Weekend Special Activities:
Wildflower Hike, both days, 9am
Saturday: Archery in the Park! 10am-2pm, all ages
Sunday: Women's Fly Fishing Clinic, 10am-3pm
